Arizona Mission Trip!
This last June, our High School and Middle School ministries took a group of students on a mission trip to Arizona, on Navajo land to help build the revival spark that is taking place!
Students there got the opportunity to work on various projects for the Navajo tribe towards the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Below are some of the projects the students got to assist with:
Setting up the large tent for the local church’s mobile services, bringing the message of Jesus to people across the area
Roofing and construction for low-income families
Landscape work to prepare for the building of a local food bank next to the church
Painting the church and performing maintenance throughout
Running the Kids Club program, where students would drive to meet with young children to play games and teach devotional messages that made the story of Jesus relevant and fun
In addition to the work in store for the students and leaders was the opportunity to build relationships with one another and the locals people! The students got the chance to learn about the culture of the Navajo people, such as the chance to make Native American fry bread tacos, engage in games and activities with the students, attend a local church service, and learn some words and phrases in the local language!
It IS confirmed that in June of 2024, we will be taking another group to work with the same church; stay tuned for details about the trip, and join us to bring the Word to all people as the church is commissioned to!
